Cutout Sugar Cookies

HEAT the oven

MAKE the dough with only ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons oil and 1/3 cup water.

MIX well. If dough seems too dry to roll, mix in 1 or 2 teaspoons additional water.

ROLL the dough ¼ inch think on a floured surface (or directly on a sheet of parchment paper). Cut with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 inch apart on a lightly greased pan (or a pan lined with parchment or foil).

BAKE as directed. When done, remove hot cookies from greased pan with a thin spatula and transfer them to a rack to cool. Or slide the foil or parchment liner off the pan and onto a rack to cool.
